After Spoils of War, the forces of Preservation (largely Imperial) were victorious over the forces of Innovation (largely chaos), but all is not what it may seem….

At the end of the conflict, Preservation controlled both the Null wastes and the Halo Array, which were potential escape routes off world for the AI.

The broadcast to other worlds failed with the array silenced, and the attempt to ascend and transfer into the warp as an electromagnetic entity likewise was failed when the Iron Ring was held against them.

So immediate threat of the AI spreading off world has been averted, and the Exterminatus clock is ticking

However…

Innovation did control both the OMNIVAULTS – filled with secret forbidden knowledge on the golden throne, abominable intellects and the emperors work on mathematical divination, and the Crucible Spires – the cognitive heart of the AI.

The forces of Innovation undoubtably looted the materials and knowledge to create further abominable intellects, and bind them to their chaotic desires

With escape from the planet cut off other than by mundane means, the forces of Innovation are racing to the one remaining space port to evacuate, whilst the remaining forces of Preservation try all in their power to prevent them.

Non-aligned races such as the Necron, Kyn and Aeldari look on with interest, determining which side to support, whilst the high concentration of biomass as well as widespread death and destruction has attracted other races to the sector.

Army Modelling and Painting Requirements

All players should attempt to have their forces painted to a Battle Ready standard, but you do not need to be fully painted to participate.

Key considerations FOR CONVERSIONS AND PROXY MODELS are:

  • Conversions should be of an appropriate size for the rules used (i.e. not using a Rhino chassis for a Land Raider)
  • Weapons modelled should be consistent in appearance (i.e. all lascannons should look the same) across the army.

If in any doubt or if your army is highly converted, a please email the club with any questions and pictures of examples ahead of the event, so the event organiser can provide a ruling .

Sportsmanship Policy

Thankfully we’ve never had issues at our events but any harassment, bullying, poor sportsmanship or unpleasant behaviour will not be tolerated. We hope that any issues would be resolved between players at the table but if you feel uncomfortable or unable to resolve issues, please inform a TO as soon as possible.

The TO will usually provide a warning and guidance on what needs changing. If this warning is not heeded, or in cases of serious deviations from expected standards of behaviour, the TO may force a player to withdraw from the event and venue. Such decisions are at the TO’s complete discretion and are final on the day
